Understanding the Threat

As the founder and president of Guandolo Associates LLC, John Guandolo is an expert on counterterrorism. In December 2015, he joined Sirius XM Patriot Radio’s Breitbart News Daily program with host Stephen K. Bannon to discuss the current state of domestic terrorism.

The terrorist attack at the San Bernardino Inland Regional Center occurred on December 2, 2015, two days before John Guandolo’s appearance. On the heels of that tragedy, he noted that a “vast majority” of Islamic centers in the United States are connected to a broader “Jihadi network.” He explained that there are others, like the San Bernardino attackers, receiving support and training from these Islamic centers. He estimates that up to 75 percent of U.S. Islamic centers are tied in such activities.

Further, Guandolo revealed that in one of his training sessions with the FBI he disclosed some facts that he had uncovered showing signs of domestic terrorism. When he asked the audience if any of them were aware of the evidence that he displayed, not one person indicated that they knew of this information. “That’s the problem,” he explained.
